Root-knot nematodes are highly specialized nematodes that infect a wide range of hosts, including vegetables, melons, beans, etc. Currently, the mainstream management of root-knot nematodes involves fumigation and in-furrow application of chemical pesticides. However, most of pesticides for nematodes control are non-selective biocides which will not only eradicate the nematodes, but also harm beneficial microorganisms and natural enemies, thus disrupting the ecological balance of the soil. When diseases recur, they often outbreak and spread more quickly, leading to more severe damage.
Chico recently launched a metabolite-based biological product, BIO CUT™, contains special functional biostimulant - a variety of highly active extracellular enzymes and microbial secondary metabolites which are secreted by selected and cultivated bacilus.
It can interfere the normal phy siological metabolism and rapidly dissolve the eggshell & boby wall of nematodes, which will lead to the death of namatodes.
